{"id":404,"date":"2017-11-15T02:22:22","date_gmt":"2017-11-14T22:52:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ydpco.com\/?page_id=404"},"modified":"2017-11-22T09:18:17","modified_gmt":"2017-11-22T05:48:17","slug":"refund-policy","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/ydpco.com\/en\/refund-policy\/","title":{"rendered":"Refund Policy"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 class=\"title\" dir=\"ltr\"><strong><em>Refund Policy<\/em><\/strong><\/h2>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><b>Consumer law on returns and refunds<\/b><\/p>\n<blockquote dir=\"ltr\"><p>As a basic premise, a customer has no automatic legal right to return goods to a retailer and seek a refund.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote dir=\"ltr\"><p>However, a customer\u00a0<b>is entitled to a refund on goods<\/b>\u00a0purchased under the following circumstances:<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote dir=\"ltr\">\n<blockquote><p>&#8212; If the customer was induced into buying the goods by misrepresentation;<br \/>\n&#8212; If the goods have a fault about which they could not have known at the time of purchase. (Customers can\u2019t complain about defects that were pointed out to them at the time of purchase.)<br \/>\n&#8212; If the goods are NOT of merchantable quality \u2013 a basic level and quality and performance that would be reasonable to expect \u2013 bearing in mind the price and the way the goods were described.<br \/>\n&#8212; If the goods don\u2019t do the job the customer was led to believe they would do.<br \/>\n&#8212; If the goods don\u2019t match the description given when ordered.<br \/>\n&#8212; If the goods don\u2019t match a sample shown when order.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/blockquote>\n<blockquote dir=\"ltr\"><p>A customer may also claim compensation for any loss or damage caused by faulty goods.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">A customer may be offered a repair, an exchange or a credit note rather than a refund BUT it is the customer\u2019s choice.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><b>A customer is not entitled to a refund when:<\/b><\/p>\n<blockquote dir=\"ltr\">\n<blockquote><p>&#8212; There is nothing wrong with the goods, but they have changed their mind.<br \/>\n&#8212; The goods were bought for someone else who simply doesn\u2019t want them.<br \/>\n&#8212; The customer knows, or should have known, about any fault when they bought the goods (ie. if they were seconds.)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><b>A customer is NOT entitled to a FULL refund:<\/b><\/p>\n<blockquote dir=\"ltr\"><p>\u00a0&#8212; When the damage to goods is caused by the customer\u2019s negligence.\u00a0 The supplier is entitled to deduct an amount from any refund.<br \/>\n&#8212; If the customer has used the goods and obtained commercial benefit from the use, the supplier may be entitled to deduct a fair amount from the refund to make up for that benefit.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><b>Retailers need to be aware of the following:<\/b><\/p>\n<blockquote dir=\"ltr\"><p>\u00a0&#8212; The time limit for a customer to seek a refund is dependent upon what is reasonable in the circumstances of the particular goods or services being purchased.\u00a0 When customers have problems with their purchase(s) they should bring these problems to the attention of the retailer promptly.<br \/>\n&#8212; The goods need to be returned in original packaging to obtain a refund.<br \/>\n&#8212; A receipt or proof of purchase should always be requested when a refund, exchange or credit note is requested.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Refund Policy Consumer law on returns and refunds As a basic premise, a customer has no automatic legal right to return goods to a retailer and seek a refund.
